Introductions: "Starla" A Sidetable Makeover

BEFORE:  Beaten, brown and let's face it boring!!

Holy cow, what ugly hardware on this solid wood piece.  Very 70's  and not the cool 70's

AFTER:   Meet  "Starla"  The glam new look has roots of organic patterns and colors, with a bit of feminine mystique.   She's a cutie.

Pretty glass knobs instead of that clunky hardware.  Aahhh much better. Don't you agree?

Awesome Aqua - A Teen Girls Dream Dresser

This tall dresser was plain and brown... I can't find my before pic but trust me it was a very blank canvass.

After an aqua base paint job she received a rockin' cool combo of birds, blooms and a Mucha babe for a touch of the unexpected.  This one went straight to the client who gave it to her daughter for her 13th birthday.  Happy Happy 13th Girl!

Thanks for checking my blog out!
Cheers! Kelly

A Little Bird Told Me To Restyle This Table

This cute little two drawer number had potential after a two tone paint job.  I had originally painted the whole thing yellow but it looked flat so I changed it up with cream on the outside and handles and kept the butter for the drawers and legs... much better.

The top needed a little pizzazz, so I went with a combo of papers with pastel flowers and bird designs.

Coordinating drawer liners finish the new look.

Isn't she sweet?  Cheers! Kelly

Paisley End Tables : A Mod Makeover

This set of end tables has fab lines and mod potential but really boring and fugly finish...
It needed some groove time...

Subtle color change from the original. But it worked so well with the two complimentary colored papers, that being paisley and houndstooth yep, it had to be.  Neutral with a twist.

So, What say you?  Does it work?

Thanks for checking it out!

While Wandering On The Way... A Wonderous Wood Carver

On my way to Buffalo, somewhere in the middle of upstate New York, I came upon a very fanciful wood carvers shop and had to stop to look.  Here are just a few pieces that I saw that lovely fall day.

These next two are my favorites... Bigfoot!

And the Mrs???

NeutralsTake the Spotlight in this Desk Makeover

BEFORE:  Nice desk but it had some pealing veneer and other problems...

AFTER:  The new look incorporated neutrals and a splash of teal.  I love the rich earth tones against the gray paint on the body.
